Mystery City Games are a mix between a scavenger hunt, escape room, and a self-guided walking tour.
It’s a bit like the Da Vinci Code or National Treasure – it’s about using clues hidden in the architecture of the city to solve a mystery. You can play competitively, but you can also relax and go your own pace, enjoying shops or cafés along the way.
No app is needed – we think treasure hunts are more fun with real treasure maps, locks, and beautiful pieces.
WWI has just broken out. As soldiers are leaving Paris in taxis headed to the battlefield, you have a special mission: find the secret weapon left behind by France’s most famous scientist, Marie Curie. Do you have what it takes? Explore the city and solve puzzles in this outdoor escape game to find out!
The game starts and ends near Play In, a board game shop located at 59 Rue de Rivoli. The route covers 3 km and passes by five key sites in the city: Hotel de Ville, Châtelet, Tour de l’Horloge, Church St Merry, and St Jacques Tower.

The price includes one a two hour adventure through the city. The game set is in a bag and includes all the maps, books, locks and treasure box you need to solve the mystery.
All participants also receive a prize at the end.

Normally, we require a minimum of two people per booking. We think the game is just more fun that way! But if you really want to play by yourself, just shoot us an email and we will see if we can accommodate you.
Of course! The games are made for adults, but are a very fun thing to do with kids or teenagers too. Kids ages 6 and older can play when accompanied by an adult.
Yes, your furry mystery solvers are welcome to join! The route is around 3km so they will have a nice walk.
The game takes place on the city streets. If you are able to navigate city streets, you are more than welcome to participate in the game!
Sometimes there are stairs at the start point, but the Game Master will be able to come to the door to get your group started.

Yes! You can play our games any time of day and in all kinds of weather, as long as it’s within our opening hours. The city is generally well lit after dark, and if you ever struggle to spot a clue, our built-in hint system will help you keep moving.
